The Great Day Foundation was established in January 2005 by Jim and Jennifer Milgard for the purpose of providing funding for public and private organizations serving the needs of children, education, and the medical community. As a private family foundation, it seeks to enrich the lives of citizens in the region through support for the following initiatives:
- New projects
- Continuing programs
- Student scholarships
- Research
- Equipment funds
- Building funds
- Emergency funds
- Challenge/matching grants
- Endowments
Foundation grants generally range from $2,500 to $10,000 each. With the exception of endowment support, grants are awarded with the expectation that they will be expended in the year following receipt of funding. Only one request per year may be made by any grant-seeking organization. |
